| The White Ibis (Eudocimus albus) is a resident of marshes, swamps, lakes and wetlands in the Americas from Baja to the eastern United States and south into South America. The breeding-plumaged bird shown here was at Fort Myers, Lee Co., Florida, in April, 1996, and was photographed with a Canon T-90 and FD 400mm F/4.5 lens on Kodachrome 64. The immature bird walking on the tree limb was photographed at Brazos Bend State Park, Fort Bend Co., Texas, in March, 1996, with a Canon T-90 and Sigma 500mm F/4.5 lens on Fuji Sensia. The next two shots, of immature birds, were photographed in Kenedy Co., Texas, in spring, 2000, with a Canon EOS 3 and EF 600mm F/4 L lens on Fuji Velvia. |  |
