| The Spectacled Owl (Pulsatrix perspicillata) ranges from s.e. Mexico to Argentina. It is a species of humid, evergreen forests, and can sometimes be found during the day. This individual was photographed in Braulio Carrillo Park, Costa Rica, in November, 1991. A Canon T-90 & FD400 mm F4.5 lens with a Fresnel flash and Kodachrome 64 film was used. The camera and lens were on a BushHawk shoulder mount and hand-held. |  |
