Double-toothed Kite
Harpagus bidentatus
The Double-toothed Kite (Harpagus bidentatus) at right and below was photographed at Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico, in April, 1991. This species ranges from southern Mexico into the Amazon basin of Brazil and can be found in a variety of habitats. These photos were taken with a Canon T-90 & FD 400mm F4.5 lens with a 1.4X extender and Fresnel flash on Kodachrome 64 from a BushHawk shoulder mount.
