| The Texas Rat Snake (Elaphe obsoleta lindheimeri) is a widespread non venomous snake of the eastern half of Texas as well as parts of Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma. The first 6 shots on this page were taken in Austin, Travis Co., Texas, in April, 2010. These shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and Canon 580 flash. |  |
