| The Rosy Boa (Lichanura trivirgata) is one of only two members of the Boidae family that occurs in the United States. The species is native to parts of southern California and Arizona. It is typically a very docile snake. The individual shown in the top 6 images shown here was a captive animal that had originally been captured in southern California. The images were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and EF 70-200mm F/2.8 L IS lens. |  |
