The Western Spotted Orbweaver (Neoscona oaxacensis) is a very common spider in many areas of the western United States. The first image on this page was taken at Horn Rapids Park, Benton Co., Washington, in August, 2008, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and an EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender and 580 flash.
The two Western Spotted Orbweavers (Neoscona oaxacensis) in the next two shots were at Walker Lake, Mineral Co., Nevada, in August, 2012. These shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and an EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 1.4X extender and 580 flash.
