Enallagma divagans
The Turquoise Bluet (Enallagma divagans) is a damselfly of the eastern United States occurring from Maine to Florida and west to Oklahoma and Texas. It prefers slow moving streams as well as ponds and lakes. The male shown in the top 2 shots shown here was along a creek in Jasper Co., Texas, in March, 2008. These 2 shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and EF 300mm F/4 l IS lens and 2X extender.
