| The Mountain Goat (Oreamnos americanus) is sometimes also called Rocky Mountain Goat. It is a native American goat which occurs in the high Rockies of the western United States and Canada. It is a sure-footed and agile climber and may be found at and above timberline. The first 5 images here were taken in June, 2001, on Mt. | The next 21 images were taken in July, 2008, near Blue Lakes, Summit Co., Colorado and show several young Mountain Goats with some adult females. The adult animals are in heavy moult losing their their thick winter coats. |
