| The Texan Crescent (Anthanassa texana) is also referred to as (Phyciodes texana) in some references. It is a common butterfly across much of Texas as well as some other southwestern states and Mexico. The first two shots here were taken in Austin, Travis Co., Texas, in May, 2003, with a Canon EOS 10D and an EF 70-200mm F/2.8 L IS lens and 2X extender. |  |
