| The Southern Pearly-eye (Enodia portlandia) is a member of the satyr family and may be found in moist woodlands in the southeastern United States west to east Texas. The individual in the top 2 shots shown here was near Shepherd, San Jacinto Co., Texas, in June, 2009. These shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and EF 300mm F/4 l IS lens and 2X extender and 580 flash. |  |
