The Wilson's Warbler (Cardellina pusilla) is a widespread nesting bird across much of the mountain west, Canada and Alaska. It may often be found in willow thickets, bogs and woodlands. The male in the first three shots on this page was along a willow-lined stream near Nome, Alaska, in June, 2012. These shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and an EF 500mm F/4 L IS lens and 1.4X extender.
The next four shots show a male Wilson's Warbler along the Denali Highway, near the Tangle River, Alaska, also in June, 2012. A Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and an EF 500mm F/4 L IS lens and 1.4X extender was also used for these shots.
