Blackburnian Warbler
Setophaga fusca
The Blackburnian Warbler (Setophaga fusca) breeds from the Appalachians north across the northeastern U.S. and in parts of eastern Canada. The male in the top 4 shots here was a migrant passing through southern Tamaulipas, Mexico, in May, 2007. These images were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 500mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender. The bird has an insect in its bill in the 2nd image.
