Blackpoll Warbler
Setophaga striata
The Blackpoll Warbler (Setophaga striata) is a breeding resident across much of Alaska and northern Canada. The male shown in the top two shots here was a migrant on South Padre Island, Cameron Co., Texas, in May, 2007. These shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 600mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender.
