The beautiful Yellow-throated Warbler (Setophaga dominica) is a breeder across much of the eastern United States, west into the Texas Hill Country. In the latter area, this species often breeds along cypress-lined streams which is where the singing male shown here was photographed in April, 2007. The first 8 images were taken in Bandera Co., Texas, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 600mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender. These images are of the western interior race of this species, Dendroica dominica albilora. | |
