The Spotted Towhee (Pipilo maculatus) breeds across most of western North America and much of western Mexico. The first two shots here are of a male on breeding territory at the Dinosaur National Monument in Moffat Co., Colorado, in June, 2001. These shots were taken with a Canon EOS 3 and EF 600mm F/4 L lens and 1.4X extender on Fuji Velvia. | |
