The Song Sparrow (Melospiza melodia) is a breeding species of most of the northern two-thirds of the United States and most of Canada. The bird winters in the southern two-thirds of the U.S. The first two shots here show a wintering Song Sparrow at Bosque del Apache N.W.R., Socorro Co., New Mexico, in November, 2005.
