Ring-billed Gull
Larus delawarensis
The Ring-billed Gull (Larus delawarensis) is a common and widespread North American gull. The species breeds in a variety of habitats across the northern United States and much of Canada and winters in the central and southern United States as well as Mexico and Central America. The first-winter bird shown here was at Port Aransas, Nueces Co., Texas in December, 1986. This shot was taken with an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic and a Vivitar 400mm lens.
