The Sandhill Bluet (Enallagma davisi) is a pond damsel of sandy-bottomed lakes and ponds of the southeastern United States. It is similar to many other bluets but the black mark on the side of abdominal segment 8 (S8) of the male, distinguish it in the field. The first four shots on this page, all of males, were taken at Cheraw State Park, Chesterfield Co., South Carolina, in May, 2012. | |
