The Hudsonian Whiteface (Leucorrhinia hudsonica) occurs in the northern U.S. as well as most of Canada. The female shown here was in Penobscot Co., Maine, in June, 2010. This shot was taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and an EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender and 580 flash.
The male and female in the next 2 shots were photographed with the same gear as the first shot in Washington Co., Maine, in June, 2010.
The Hudsonian Whitefaces in the next two images were in the Laramie Canyon area of Roosevelt National Forest, Larimer Co., Colorado, in July, 2011. These shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and a Sigma 50-500mm lens and Canon 580 flash.
