The Gray-green Clubtail (Arigomphus pallidus) is a dragon of the southeastern United States where it may be found along sandy-bottomed streams, ponds, and lakes. It is not a colorful species, appearing mostly grayish in the field, but the bright green eyes can be very distinctive. The first eight images on this page were taken along the Little Pee Dee River, in Horry Co., South Carolina, in May, 2012, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and a Sigma 50-500mm lens and Canon 580 flash.
