The Florida Bluet (Enallagma pollutum) is, essentially, a damsel restricted to Florida, but there are a handful of records in south Georgia, south Alabama, and south Mississippi. In May, 2012, while attending the South Carolina DSA meeting in Horry Co., South Carolina, Jim Johnson discovered a population of Florida Bluets along the Little Pee Dee River. The first six images on this page show several males from that locatioon. The species is extremely similar to Orange Bluet (E. signatum) and needs to be carefully examined in hand to eliminate that species.
