| The Canada Darner (Aeshna canadensis) is a large dragonfly that occurs across the northern U.S. and much of Canada. It is not often found perched, so many shots of this species, including these, are posed. The shots of this male was taken in Algonquin Provincial Park, Nipissing Co., Ontario, Canada, in July, 2005, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens with a 2X extender and 580 EX flash. |
