The Attenuated Bluet (Enallagma daeckii) is an eastern species which ranges west to southeastern Oklahoma and far east Texas. This very long and slender bluet is mostly blue and lacks the extensive black seen on the thorax of many others of this genus. The first two shots show a male Attenuated Bluet near Woodville, Tyler Co., Texas, in June, 2009. These shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and EF 300mm F/4 l IS lens and 2X extender and 580 flash. | |
