The Gray-cheeked Thrush (Catharus minimus) nests in scrub in tundra and taiga areas as well as other forest areas of northern Canada and most of Alaska. The species may be found during migrations across the eastern half of the United States. The first three shots on this page show a Gray-cheeked Thrush on Anvil Mountain at Nome, Alaska, in June, 2012. These shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and an EF 500mm F/4 L IS lens and 1.4X extender.
