Oceanites gracilis
The White-vented Storm-Petrel (Oceanites gracilis) occurs in tropical waters of the eastern Pacific Ocean. The species is sometimes called Elliot's Storm-Petrel. One population of the species is found off of Peru and Chile, while another population is found in the Galapagos Islands. The first 9 images on this page were taken off of Isabela Island in the Galapagos in July, 2007, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and an EF 500mm F/4 L IS lens.
The next four shots of White-vented Storm-Petrel were taken near Santiago Island in the Galapagos, in August, 2010, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and a Sigma 50-500mm lens.
