The Sonoran Desert Toad (Incilius alvarius) occurs in parts of Arizona, New Mexico, and California, as well as the Sonoran Desert of Mexico. It is a nocturnal species, and more aquatic than most toads. The photos here show a captive Sonoran Desert Toad at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson, Arizona, in April, 2003. These photos were taken with a Canon EOS 10D and EF 70-200 F/2.8 L IS lens and 2X extender. |
