Acanthagrion species

This *Acanthagrion species?* is probably either Acanthagrion apicale or A. ascendens. The evidence suggests that it is A. apicale as several observers familiar with A. ascendens have commented they do not believe it is that species. This male was photographed along the Rio Sucusari, which is a tributary of the Rio Napo, Departmento de Loreto, Peru, in July, 2006.
