The Six-spotted Tiger Beetle (Cicindela sexguttata) is a common and widespread eastern tiger which is often encountered in pine forest areas. The individual in the image on the right was in the Ouachita National Forest, Montgomery Co., Arkansas, in June, 2009.
The Six-spotted Tiger Beetle here was in the Angelina National Forest, Jasper Co., Texas, in April, 2010.
