| The Splendid Clubtail (Gomphus lineatifrons) is widespread across much of the eastern United States. It is a large species and quite impressive as it flies past you to take a perch on streamside vegetation. The first five shots on this page show male Splendid Clubtails along Tiger Creek, Catoosa Co., Georgia, in May, 2011. These shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and a Sigma 50-500mm lens and Canon 580 flash. |  |
