The Sparkling Jewelwing (Calopteryx dimidiata) is a stream damselfly of the eastern United States. Records range from New England southwest to east Texas. The shots here of a male, female and a pair were taken along the Conasauga River, Chattahoochee National Forest, Murray Co., Georgia, in July, 2005. These digital images were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens with a 2X extender and 580 EX flash. |
