| The Little Blue Dragonlet (Erythrodiplax minuscula) is a very small dragonfly of the southeastern U.S. (ranging north to Maine) where it can be found at vegetated ponds and backwaters. The photo here of a female was a digital capture in the Angelina National Forest, Angelina Co., Texas in May, 2003, with a Canon EOS 10D and EF 300 mm F4 L IS lens with a 1.4X extender and 550 EX flash. This dragon was resting on some grass at the edge of a small pond in an area that had been burned by a forest fire about 5 years earlier. |  |
