| The Amanda's Pennant (Celithemis amanda) is a small dragonfly, largely confined the the coastal plains of the southeast U.S. Records range from North Carolina south to Florida and Georgia and west to Louisiana and extreme east Texas. The first three shots of the young female shown here were taken in Taylor Co., Georgia, in July, 2005. These digital images were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens with a 2X extender and 580 EX flash. |  |
