| The Arctic Ground Squirrel (Spermophilus parryii) occurs across parts of northwestern Canada and much of Alaska. The species inhabits meadows, rocky areas, as well as tundra areas. The first four images on this page show an Arctic Ground Squirrel near Gambell, St. Lawrence Island, Alaska, in May, 2012. These shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and an EF 500mm F/4 L IS lens and 1.4X extender. |  |
