Astraptes fulgerator
The Two-barred Flasher (Astraptes fulgerator) is an uncommon species in far south Texas, but it ranges south through Central America. The shot shown here was taken at Gallon Jug, Belize, in December, 1999, with a Canon EOS 1N and an EF 180mm F/3.5 Macro lens and Fuji Sensia 100 film.
