| The Mimosa Yellow (Pyrisitia nise) is a very small yellow butterfly which ranges from South America northward to parts of Texas and the southwest. It is very similar to the more common Little Yellow (P. lisa). The first shot shown here was taken near Pearsall, Frio Co., Texas, in November, 2007, and was shot with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender. |  |
| The Mimosa Yellow on the right was at the NABA garden, near Mission, Hidalgo Co., Texas, in December, 2010. This shot was taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and a Sigma 50-500mm lens with a Canon 580 flash. |  |
