Within the United States, the Mexican Bluewing (Myscelia ethusa) is an uncommon and local butterfly of shaded woodlands in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas. The first 4 shots here were taken at Santa Ana N.W.R., Hidalgo Co., Texas, in October, 2008. These shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender and Canon 580 flash. | ![]() |
