The Bell's Roadside-Skipper (Amblyscirtes belli) occurs in the central portion of the United States from parts of Oklahoma and Texas east to Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. The one in the top two images on this page was in the Ouachita National Forest. McCurtain Co., Oklahoma, in May, 2011. These shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and a Sigma 50-500mm lens and Canon 580 flash. Thanks to Nick Grishin and John Fisher for identifying this skipper from my photos.
