The Red-throated Pipit (Anthus cervinus) is an old world species that is a regular but fairly rare visitor to western Alaska and other areas of the United States and Canada west coast. The first five images on this page were taken at Gambell, St. Lawrence Island, Alaska, in May, 2012, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and an EF 500mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender.
