The Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow (Ammodramus nelsoni) breeds in the prairie grasslands of parts of North Dakota and Minnesota and well north into Canada. The species winters all along the Gulf coast as well as many areas of the Atlantic coast in Georgia and Florida. The next 11 images of Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrows were taken on the Texas Gulf coast in Jefferson and Galveston Counties in October and November, 2009, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and EF 800mm F/5.6 L IS lens and a 1.4X extender. | |
