Canada Warbler
Cardellina canadensis
The Canada Warbler (Cardellina canadensis), as the name implies, is a breeding bird across a large area of Canada, but it also nests in a large area of the northeastern United States southward into the Appalachian Mountains. The female here has caught an insect. This bird was a late spring migrant passing through southern Tamaulipas, Mexico, in May, 2007. This shot was taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 500mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender.
