| The Tigertail (Ictinogomphus ferox) is a large and robust African gomphid which occurs in the northern portions of South Africa ranging north into central Africa as well. The shots here of a male were taken near Vaalwater, Limpopo Province, South Africa in January, 2006 with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 2X extender with a 580 flash. |  |
