American Crow
Corvus brachyrhynchos
The American Crow (Corvus brachyrhynchos) occurs across almost all of the United States and Canada. It is a common and abundant species which may be regarded as a pest by farmers. It feeds on grain, insects, carrion, or virtually anything else. It is often seen in large flocks. The first 3 images of American Crows shown here were taken at Bosque del Apache N.W.R., Socorro Co., New Mexico, in November, 2009, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark III and an EF 800mm F/5.6 L IS lens.
The American Crow in the next two shots on the right was near a road kill on a highway in Glades Co., Florida, in January, 2013.
