The Wandering Tattler (Heteroscelus incanus) breeds in northwest Canada and Alaska and winters south to South America. The first two shots on this page show a fall migrant bird in the Galapagos Islands in August, 2010. These shots were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and a Sigma 50-500mm lens. This species is regularly observed in migration along the west coast of the United States.
The Wandering Tattler on the right was along a stream at Nome, Alaska, in May, 2012. This shot was taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and an EF 500mm F/4 L IS lens and 1.4X converter.
