The Pacific Golden-Plover (Pluvialis fulva) breeds in parts of Alaska and Siberia and winters in Hawaii, among other places). The first 21 images on this page show birds that have just arrived on the Hawaii wintering grounds, in August, 2012. All these shots were taken at the National Cemetery of the Pacific at Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and an EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens and 1.4X extender.
