The Yellow-sided Skimmer (Libellula flavida) is a widespread dragonfly of the eastern United States. The first shot here, of a female, was taken in Taylor Co., Georgia, in July, 2005. The image was taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300mm F/4 L IS lens with a 2X extender and 580 EX flash.
