The Taiga Bluet (Coenagrion resolutum) is widespread and common in marshes across the northern United States. In some areas it is only found at higher elevations. The first nine shots on this page were taken at Parvin Lake, near Fort Collins, Larimer Co., Colorado, in July, 2011, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and a Sigma 50-500mm lens and Canon 580 flash. A male is shown in the first two images.
