The Stream Bluet (Enallagma exsulans) occurs across most of the eastern United States. Its relatively long, slender abdomen is distinctive in the field. The first shot of a male shown here was taken along Montell Creek in Uvalde Co., Texas, in May, 2003, with a Canon 10D and an EF 70-200mm F/2.8 L IS lens and 1.4X extender.
