The Southern Snaketail is a rare, very local and early season dragonfly of parts of the western Florida Panhandle and a few spots in southern Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Louisiana. I was privileged to spend a day on private lands where we found a number of these snaketails in March, 2013.
