The Lyre-tipped Spreadwing (Lestes unguiculatus) is found commonly across the northern U.S. and parts of Canada. The male and female shown in the first two shots at right were in Houston Co., Minnesota in July, 2004. These images were taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 300 mm F/4 L IS lens with a 2X extender and 550 EX flash.
The male and female in the next two images were shot with the same equipment described above at Little Lakes, Beachburg Rd., Renfrew Co., Ontario, Canada in July, 2005.
