The Cherry Bluet (Enallagma concisum) is a pond damsel of the southeastern United States where it may be found on sandy bottomed ponds. It is very similar to the Scarlet Bluet (E. pictum) of the northeast, but their ranges do not overlap. The first two shots, both of males, on this page were taken in Conway, Horry Co., South Carolina, in May, 2012, with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and a Sigma 50-500mm lens and Canon 580 flash.
